Taking a break from painting, artist Gail Niebrugge and her husband spent 14 days at sea on the Coral Princess during the holidays; the shows, costumes, Christmas decorations, food, and entertainment were spectacular, not to mention warm, sunny weather all the way. Niebrugge will be back at work at the beginning of the new year 2013 in Alaska, with a renewed spirit and many ideas and images to paint. Inspiration from the colorful costumes worn during the nightly shows will certainly leave a lasting impression on this artist. Many beautiful birds, flowers, and landscapes have been captured in photos and are ready to be used as reference in future paintings. Watch for new work as it is posted on this blog during the coming year. Happy New Year everyone!!
What a wonderful trip and holiday you have had, Gail. Barry and I loved the Coral Princess too, on two cruises to Anchorage from Vancouver.
