The Niebrugges spent two weeks at Christmas 2012 on board the Coral Princess cruising from Los Angeles, California to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida via the Panama Canal. The weather was perfect, sunshine and calm seas all the way. It seemed a bit strange for these Alaskan’s to spend Christmas in tropical climates, but they quickly adapted to the routine, luxury, and pampering. Fabulous meals, excellent room service, a mini suite with a private balcony, Bob and Gail were treated like royalty. Long days around the pool reading in the sunshine, watching Movies under the Stars, Scholarship at Sea Lectures, fun and games abound, boredom is not possible. 
Three formal nights featuring gourmet cuisine including lobster, the 4-story atrium with glass elevators was decorated beyond imagination, displays from gingerbread house competition, champagne waterfall, Christmas caroling, the captains cocktail reception, something new every day. Pictured above is hubby Bob fashionably decked out in a tuxedo for one of the formal nights.
