The beautiful coastline of Monterrey and Carmel, California, and the stunning vistas along the famous 17 mile drive between the two towns were explored by Alaska artist Gail and her traveling companions. The day dawned foggy and cold, but by mid morning the sun shone on this adventurous group who enjoyed dining on fresh fish, and specialties of the region. Fisherman’s Wharf and Cannery Row were especially enjoyable, and hiking the bicycle path between the two places increased the appetite for even more food. The best was the Monterrey Bay Aquarium, a must see for anyone especially children! A great vacation so far.
