One of our favorite places to bring guests who visit us in Alaska is to four-time Iditarod Sled Dog Race champion, Martin Busers Happy Trails Kennels in Big Lake. On this visit we were all able to hold some three week old puppies breeded from the Iditarod race team for great stamina and speed. Pictured above is artist Gail holding a Buser puppy. As always Martin, his wife Kathy and his son, dog musher Rohn, were interesting, full of information and fun! They hold tours every day at 2:00PM in the summer, and are very busy.
