During a visit to New Zealand one year, I had the opportunity and privilege to spend some time in the beautiful botanical gardens at Christchurch.  Among the many amazing flowers that I saw were this group of gorgeous red roses.  Loving the color red, I had no choice but to paint them.  At the same time I had the opportunity to acquire a very large canvas, 4′ x 6′.  Knowing it could take up to a year to paint this in the technique of pointillism, one that I have been using for 20+ years, making the selling price astronomical I chose to abandon pointillism on this one, and truthfully enjoyed not using it for a change.  This may begin a new era in my career; the after pointillism period.  This print can be ordered in a variety of sizes.
