Yesterday we had a lovely visit with a couple who booked a studio tour and lunch through Entree Alaska, a tour company that arranges special private tours in Alaska. My neighbor and I spent the morning making a zucchini casserole from a new recipe. It is always risky to try a new recipe on company, but this one was a big winner! Friday we have another family arriving for the same experience, and you can bet that I will be making another zucchini casserole. We served a fruit salad and rolls along with the casserole and had a bit of desert with mini cream puffs. My only concern was that I hadn’t finished weeding the vegetable garden, so it looked a bit shabby. I hope to get the weeding done before Fridays guests arrive. The perennial gardens, however, are beautiful.
