Another ink drawing in Alaska artist Gail Niebrugge’s series of historic buildings, the Kitty Hensley House is located in the former Alaskaland, now called Pioneer Park, Fairbanks. Built during the turn of the century of logs, around 1914 a second floor was added and the exterior was covered in shingles of all shapes and sizes. Kitty was known as a eccentric and hid money and jewelry amid the junk she collected. It is furnished with authentic furniture of the period and open as a museum during the summer. The ink drawing of “Kitty’s House” is available for sale.
