This is the original pen and ink drawing by Alaska artist Gail Niebrugge for the sold-out limited edition print published in 1985, and brings back many memories. May 2012 this historic lodge, built in 1896, burned to the ground. It was one of artist Niebrugge’s favorite places eat when she lived in Copper Center, the previous owner Kathy Ashby was famous for her homemade pies. Gail says, “It is still hard to wrap my brain around the fact that this wonderful old building is now gone”. Gail Niebrugge is now offering this ink drawing for sale from her private collection.
