Niebrugge Selected as Denali Artist-in-Residence

Exciting news, I am selected as one of three Artists-in-Residence at Denali National Park and Preserve for 2009!   I will be staying for ten days at the East Fork Cabin from August 4 until August 13 and plan to give a public presentation or field trip sometime during my stay.  The details need to be ironed out yet, I will keep you posted.

This is a great opportunity and I’m looking forward to the experience.

Congratulations, Gail! I have heard about the artists-in-residence opportunities at Denali National Park, and that is indeed a wonderful acknowledgement and honour.

My friend and I enjoyed a wonderful day in Denali N.P. at the end of October 2005 and took the shuttle bus to Wonder Lake. What an experience of a lifetime!

I will wait with excitement to read of your experiences staying there in August.

    Hello Noella,
Thanks. Denali is a magical place. The opportunity to spend 10 continuous days will give me the chance to watch the habits of the animals and the changes in the landscape. I won’t have internet connection while there, so my daily blog posts will be made afterward.
    Hugs,
    Gail

    Hi Noella,
Ten days in a row in Denali will give me a chance to watch the animals up close and the changes in the landscape.
    Hugs,
    Gail
