As soon as it was light enough to see we found all six Trumpeter Swans feeding near the shore next to our dock. They stayed until human activity disturbed them, then swam away to a quieter spot.
The signet with the bent neck followed close behind. A very unusual deformity. I wonder how he will fare during the long journey ahead. Our annual Open House begins tomorrow, it would be such fun for our guests if we had swans on the lake. It could happen. We shall wait and see!

Greetings from an admirer from Perth, Western Australia, and best wishes for a wonderful Open House tomorrow.
We were in Anchorage a few weeks ago, just for 6 days this time, visiting my elderly Aunt.
Noella;
Thank you for the nice comments. Next time you are in Anchorage please call, I’d love to meet you.
Gail
Dear Gail,
Yes, I will certainly do that as you are someone I would love to meet also. I am pretty sure to come again.
Did you have a successful Open House?
Kind regards,
Noella

Our Open House was a huge success, I’m going to write about it for tomorrow’s Blog.
Thank you for asking,
