Our inertia for packing for another exhibit has slowed down a bit now that our bellies are full of fabulous turkey, dressing, sweet potatoes, gravy, and pumpkin pie. Nevertheless, we find ourselves readying for our last show of the season the Colony High School Christmas Bazaar, Saturday, November 25, 10:00AM-5:00PM, in Palmer, AK.
We’ve never been to this event but have been told that it resembles a very active ant hill. Several different factors come into play for this affair that may prove cumbersome. As newcomers we do not have priority for the premiere spaces, our location is at the back of the school down a long hall by the science center. And, it is a one day show with only three hours allocated for set up. Normally we need five.
So we are going to streamline the booth. We won’t use the wall height extenders, therefore there will be less framed art. I don’t think it will matter much because all of our art prints will be available in bins and it will be easy to refer customers to our studio, since it is only a few blocks away.
I think this bazaar will be a busy, fun, wonderful time filled with great people who are serious about shopping for gifts.
