Wasilla is Proud of Sarah!

Sarah Palin, the new Republican Vice Presidential candidate, arrived home in Wasilla today and the security has noticeably increased. As we approached the Best Western at Lake Lucille last night for a “Welcome Home Sarah Rally”, the Alaska State Troopers were in full force.

Members of every kind of media were present, some had tents set up outside as shelter from the rain, others had big satellite trucks. It was amazing.

The Palin home is on the same lake as the Best Western, and several U.S. Coast Guard boats are patrolling the area.
The rally was jam packed, and full of reporters. Pictured above is Greta Van Sustren from FOX News. Local people were extending hospitality to the news reporters and doing their best to stop some of the negative, untruthful reports that are surfacing in the national news.

Even the local limo company had an appropriate banner.

Sarah’s parents, Sally and Chuck Heath, were deluged by the media. They just returned from the long drive from Fairbanks where they saw Sarah address the troops who were being deployed to Iraq, that included their grandson Track. Sally is loaded down with gifts for the family from friends and well-wishers. Sarah leaves again tomorrow on the campaign trail, keeping a torrid schedule, Sally and Chuck don’t know when they will see their daughter again. We are so proud of our governor, Sarah Palin. Go Sarah, Go!
