The sea otter lives in shallow water areas along Alaska’s shores and usually do not migrate. They are members of the weasel family, and are very gregarious. They may become concentrated in an area, in rafts of hundreds. Sea otters eat urchins, crabs, clams, mussels and fish, and place the food on their chests while resting on their backs, they use their forepaws and sometimes a rock to crack shells.

The original painting “Lunch Break” is offered as a miniature digital ink jet giclee printed on acid free paper with fade resistant inks, hand signed by the artist Gail Niebrugge, matted 8″x10″ with acid free silver gray black core mat and acid free back board, offered at $30.00 US each.
