Pointillism Detail 4
Above is the original underpainting of a section of the Kennicott Copper Mine showing roof tops and part of the glacial moraine in the background. At this stage I began to add a small amount of pointillism to the moraine and to the shadows on the red walls.
The next stage shows more dots have been added. I am working to establish values on the brown roof, when it is finished it will be much darker with some of the lighter tan underpainting showing between dots to establish texture. Shadows in the glacier moraine are given various shades that will eventually make them look three dimensional.
