Pointillism Detail 3
Above is the original underpainting of a section of the Kennicott Copper Mine painting showing roof tops. I added pointillism to some of the red walls and the orange roof.
The next stage shows that I have added pointillism to the brown and gray roofs, and more detail is developing on the roof that is orange and white. The shape of the suspended bridge is a little more specific, and a few dots appear in the background above the long blue/white roof. The cast shadow from the cupola has been underpainted. At this point a little pointillism is being scattered throughout the entire painting, fine details will not be added until the very end.
