Pointillism Detail 25
Detail of the glacier background in the Kennicott original painting. It is time to tackle painting the glacier and moraine, it consists of mostly underpainting at this point with the exception of a little pointillism directly behind the roof tops.
Here I begin to add more three dimensional definition to the deep crevices and exposed glacier ice.
This photo shows that I have added greyed back color in pointillism behind the crevices to give definition and added more highlights to sun-lit edges.
