Niebrugge painted “Sound of Silence” in 1993 from research gathered in the coastal town of Valdez, Alaska. The artist is drawn to the light, early morning or late evening is best, most of her paintings are all about the light. Rosy glow from the setting sun is reflected on the snow covered mountain range located across the bay of Prince William Sound, this colorful phenomena is often referred to as “alpen glow”.
