If you did not recieve a complementary commemorative poster at the Palmer Inaugural Ball contact the Greater Wasilla Chamber of Commerce. In the excitement of the evening, the poster was not given out at the door.  1,400 copies are prepared and ready as gifts for all attendees. I will be glad to sign yours at any of my upcoming shows or events.

    Hello Ms. Niebrugge,
    Unfortunately, I was unable to attend Sarah’s Inaugural Ball, as I currently reside in Sacramento, CA. I am a friend of her brother Chuck, with whom I graduated from Wasilla High School. I also knew both Sarah and Heather, as well as their parents. Although I am a Democrat, I have followed Sarah’s career and am very proud of her accomplishments.
    I was “home” in the Mat-Su Valley for the holidays visiting my family and really enjoyed some of your artwork which was displayed at a gallery in Wasilla (can’t remember the name just now) that I visited. I have always had an appreciation for Post-Impressionist art (Seurat, Gauguin and Toulouse-Lautrec being some of my favorites) and was moved by the way your use of the Pointillism technique has captured the beauty of Alaska. The use of color and light in your paintings is splendid.
    Your commemorative poster with its scene of Pioneer Peak is stunningly beautiful. It is the view from my parent’s living room window just off the Parks Highway. I understand that the poster was given to attendees at the Inaugural Ball, but I was hoping that I could somehow obtain one. It would be a wonderful reminder of my roots in the Valley.
    If you could direct me to the appropriate source I would be most grateful.
    Cheers,
    Matt

    Hello Matt;

    Sorry you missed the Ball, it was an incredible event. Sarah, Todd and her family looked wonderful and seemed to have a good time.

    Thank you for your very nice comments about my work. I’m on my way to the Governor’s Anchorage Office this morning to decorate it with some of my artwork, hopefully more people will be able to see it and enjoy the pointillism.

    The Greater Wasilla Chamber of Commerce has posters, contact them at (907) 376-1299. If that doesn’t work for you, talk to Kris Perry at the Anchorage Governor’s Office at (907) 269-7450. The posters belong to the Governor, I really don’t have any to send or I would do it for you.

    Best wishes,

    Gail Niebrugge
