Gail Niebrugge’s
Alaska Wildflowers
An Artist’s Journey in Paintings and Prose
For twenty years, Gail painted sweeping landscapes, even learning to fly to get aerial perspectives of mountains and glaciers. Then, while standing in a meadow one day visualizing a landscape painting, she looked down and, for the first time, considered the flowers as subjects. Thus began her fascination with wildflowers. Gail’s search for wildflower subjects brought with it often humorous, sometimes risky, and always-unusual adventures.
